LATVIAN SLAKERAS SECURES EURO F2 TITLE

Stewarty hosted the 2016 European F2 championship and Latvian Uvis Slakteris secured the gold medal just ten points ahead of Britain’s Matt Palfreyman collecting silver. Notable absentee from the meeting was Sweden’s World Champion Pierre Lundin. Palfreyman barrel-rolled his outfit during qualifying but his team managed to dry out the rig in time for the main race.
