F2 LUNDIN CAMPIONE
When planning powerboat races in September in Europe, there is always an element of risk. The f2 fleet arrived in Campione in the hope of completing the penultimate round of their world championship. Sadly it was not to be as heavy rain, strong winds and a rather rough Lake Lugano. The event was cancelled and bedraggled teams headed home with only Portugal left in their 2017 championship in October.

Rashid Al Qemzi leads the championship by 12 points over reigning champion Pierre Lundin who won in Campione last year when the weather was bad on qualifying day but they held qualifying and the race on the Sunday.
