In our excitement after two Brits won the SBI Superboat Unlimited class in the three heat World Championships in Key West, i.e., Steve Curtis and James Shepherd, we later heard that Miles Jennings, another British driver, filled third place in the same class behind ‘Wake Effects’ alongside his Turkish throttleman Ugur Isik.

The ‘shy’, ‘retiring’ Miles Jennings of Exeter in Devon (internationally renowned for his unique personality) took the wheel of Ugur Isik’s bright red cat named ‘Jesses Ranch’ and clinched third place in the Superboat Unlimited class at the 2017 Key West World Championships last weekend.  Miles is a ‘have helmet, will travel’ racer who has competed in almost every offshore class on the planet, and don’t be surprised if he doesn’t turn up in an XCat next year.
